PR firm announce events management link

PR organisation, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), has announced an exclusive contract with BSI to manage its conferences and meetings.

The deal sees BSI taking control of the economic management and venue booking for the CIPR's events, which will include the 2008 Annual Conference and the Excellence Awards Dinner.

Elspeth Graham, the assistant director general of the CIPR events department, revealed that the link would allow the PR firm to concentrate on its business.

She said: "BSI's services will help us to not only secure hotel rooms and venues at the best possible rate, but will also significantly reduce the amount of search time and costs associated."

Meanwhile, the Mobile Marketing Association has revealed that it boosted its membership by 110 per cent in 2007.

The organisation now has representative in more than 40 countries and claimed that the results were the best on record.
