bigmouthmedia chief exec wins industry award

Steve Leach, founder and chief executive of bigmouthmedia media, has been awarded with the title of UK Entrepeneur of the Year at the National Business Awards.

Facing tough competition from the likes of Sean Phelan of multimap, Karim Sekkat of KAS Techologies and Nicky Edmunds of Insideout, the independent search marketing agency founder walked away with the crown.

"It has been an exciting evening and a thrill for bigmouthmedia to be a part of it for the second year running. We have had a fantastic year and it truly is a credit to all of the bigmouthmedia team across the globe that I work with every day in terms of their support and dedication," Mr Leach said after the event.

From Edinburgh, Leach also refuted claims that entrepreneurialism was dying a slow death north of the border.

"Entrepreneurialism is alive and well in Scotland, and I think that it's insulting to suggest otherwise. Scots are ambitious, sociable and ballsy and that, combined with opportunity, is what it takes to succeed; unfortunately not everyone gets that all important break," he added.
