Event management companies in the south-east of the UK are likely to welcome news from a local development body.
A survey conducted for the South East England Development Agency states that "steady progress" is being made in the economic progress of the area.
The research into the activities of the small business sector in the region found that as many as half of the local enterprises were offering new products and services.

"The positive findings - of businesses intending to grow and introducing innovation are indicators of a healthy enterprise environment," remarked business minister Shriti Vadera.
Meanwhile, event management companies in the north of the UK may be interested in news from regional development agency One NorthEast that it was forging links with Japan by inviting business leaders to visit the region.
