Portsmouth event management companies 'take to the trees'
Friday 07th of March 2008
Conference venues can take many shapes and sizes - but it is rare that delegates are taken into the canopy by their event management companies.
However, those attending seminars in Portsmouth may find themselves doing just that given a new treehouse facility offered in the area.
Event management companies looking for something a little different to offer their clientele might be intrigued by the space made available at De Vere's New Place at Shirrell Heath in the city.
Following the firm's recent acquisition by AHG it has enjoyed a flood of funding, the Portsmouth News reports, with part of the millions provided invested in the treehouse conference suite.
Paula Wilson, sales development manager at the firm, told the publication: "It's definitely creating a lot of interest. The company is always thinking of different things to do and the treehouse was the next thing it thought of."
Other hotels and venues offering conference space to event management companies in Portsmouth include the city's Hilton Hotel, the Odeon and the Marriott Hotel.
