Belfast to gain event management venue in March
Thursday 06th of March 2008
Event management companies in Northern Ireland will have a new flagship venue at their disposal when a new conference and exhibition centre opens in Belfast later this month.
The £7 million facility will be added to the city's four-star hotel the Europa, which already has conference facilities including a ballroom and rooftop banqueting venue.
Maintaining a distinction between the different facets of the Europa, the exhibition centre is to be self-contained with a separate entrance to the main hotel - although access to the residential quarters will also be available.
"This new state of the art venue will be able to hold exhibitions, shows, meetings, indoor sporting events, wedding fairs and trade fairs," owner Hastings Hotels explains.
Event management companies needing as much as 7,000 sq ft of floor space will be catered for by the new centre.
Hastings Hotels also has conference, meetings and events facilities at its Culloden, Stormont, Slieve Donard, Everglades and Ballygally Castle hotels.
