Tuesday 29th of January 2008
The Park Plaza County Hall will finally open this week, providing a raft of new opportunities for event management companies.
The new hotel, situated on London's South Bank, will open on Friday (February 1st) and will provide the region with six new conferencing rooms.
As well as meeting space, the £100 million build also includes a plush new restaurant and a lounge area which should attract more events management firms to the venue.
Phillip Chambers, the general manager of the hotel, revealed that the location could draw a wide range of clientele.
"Park Plaza County Hall will be a big drawcard in bringing visitors and locals back to Waterloo," he said.
Meanwhile, Melbourne Convention Centre recently opened in Australia, with the facility receiving a six Green Star environmental rating, a first for a convention centre.
The centre will be aiming to have a low emissions output and will be recycling a large percentage of its waste.
