Harrogate conference centre receives petroleum boost
Friday 11th of January 2008
The Harrogate International Centre (HIC) has been chosen by the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers (FPS) as its venue for a number of events over the next six years.
The FPS has announced plans to hold its exhibitions and conferences at the venue in 2009, 2011 and 2014, Meetpie reports.
Deputy director and head of marketing at the firm, Alison Griffin, revealed that the deal was borne out of a long standing working relationship between the organisations.
She said: "The FPS are old friends of HIC's having exhibited here several times in the past.
"Securing their business through to 2014 is testimony to the dedication shown by our event teams, who offer a bespoke service to all our clients to ensure every show is better than the last," she added.
Meanwhile, a £3 million refurbishment of the conferencing facilities of the Chester Grosvenor Hotel will provide the meeting rooms of the venue with Wi-Fi and should be completed within the next six weeks.
