Lincolnshire poised for new conference centre
Wednesday 09th of January 2008
Businesses in Lincolnshire and the surrounding regions have been boosted by the news that a new conference centre is to be built in the area.
The facility, which will be known as the EPIC Centre, will cost around £7 million and will be able to host up to 1,200 delegates, Meetpie reports.
Aiming to deal with current industry concerns surrounding the environment, the building will integrate a number of carbon reducing innovations, hopefully offsetting some of the emissions produced travelling to and from the centre.
The build for the venue should be completed by June this year.
Meanwhile, events management conference, International Confex, is hoping to raise the profile of the industry by inviting celebrity speakers to its annual event.
The 2008 conference will have chef Jean-Christophe Novelli and founder of Coffee Republic Sahar Hashemi present to pass on their expertise to event delegates.
