Event management company bought out

Specialist pharma event management company Procon Conferences has been acquired by Ireland-based service provider to healthcare manufacturers and pharmaceutical retailers, United Drug.
Procon, from Harrogate in Yorkshire, provides full corporate event management services for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector. Its services include association and secretariat membership, full event management, delegate registration and venue finding.
"Procon will form an important part of our Contract Sales and Consultancy Outsourcing division and help us broaden the range of services we provide to our customers," United Drug's chief executive, Liam FitzGerald, said.
"I would like to welcome all management and staff of Procon to the United Drug Group and we look forward to working with them to build upon their success to date, as we continue our development as a leading international healthcare services company."
If a set of agreed targets are met over the coming 12 months, an additional cash consideration of as much as £1.2 million will be payable.
