Printar launches digital soldermask printing system
Friday 16th of November 2007
Printar has announced the launch of the first-ever fully digital solder-mask printing system for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) production.
Known as GreenJet, the company says it achieves an "unparalleled level of performance for solder mask formation". It does this be substituting the current coating, drying and exposure process for a simple one-step technique.
"The introduction of GreenJet marks a milestone in the PCB industry," Amir Noy, chief executive at Printar, comments.
"Not only will PCB manufacturers enjoy cost reduction - GreenJet eliminates multiple, costly processes - but also enhanced performance and reduced manufacturing cycle time."
Ron Zohar, Printar president adds: "Unlike conventional printing methods, GreenJet is meeting the demands of new, higher density designs. The Printar system is adapted to both the smaller pad spacing and the tighter registration tolerance requirements. And GreenJet enables solder mask to be applied in the tight spaces between copper landings."
