WPA Pinfold collaborates in npower project

Friday 16th of November 2007

Branding and design consultancy WPA Pinfold has created the branding and visual language for npower's new £20 million Greener Schools programme.

The 'Climate Cops' environmental awareness programme aims to directly engage school children. It will be launched tomorrow (November 14th) by pop star and mother Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

Will, Oscar Skye, K'eyush and Charlie are the central and supporting characters for the campaign - and have been designed with the seven to 11-year-old age group in mind.

"The challenge for WPA Pinfold was to create a set of characters that weren't necessarily super-heroes, but who the children could aspire to and identify with," Anne Chappell-Smith, campaign manager at npower commented.

"The campaign aims at children aged 7-11, quite a wide gap in age, and we believe Climate Cops fulfil that brief perfectly.

"The consultancy is the brand custodian and has made sure that all merchandise supports our key challenge of ensuring that the campaign is educational and fun."
