New Xerox model offers environmental printing
Wednesday 31st of October 2007
Xerox's new colour printer, the 6130 colour laser printer, will give channel partners the opportunity to offer SMEs a more energy efficient and quieter way to meet their printing needs.
A customisable sleep mode and a print mode that is double that of previous models means that it is considerably more efficient than the proceeding model in its line, the 6120.
"Xerox has come out and said they're a good steward of the environment," Ken Knepper, product marketing manager at the Xerox Office Group, commented.
"Every generation should be more efficient and have more recyclable materials. There's quite a push for that on our side."
The printer also skips any pages in a document that do not include any text or images, which in turn helps reduce waste.
"With this setup, channel partners can monitor and provide services," Knapper continues. "Or you can set up an automatic purchase plan."
